Parkland Model Congress

President

My name is Tyler Coulton and I am the president of Parkland Model Congress | 2010. This is my second year taking a role in Parkland Model Congress; I served as vice president during last year's conference. It is my goal to improve upon the success of last year's Congress, with new committees focused on problems faced by the Supreme Court and the National Security Council.

My political interests stem from my involvement in my school's Political Science Club. I've participated in Model United Nations conferences since my  sophomore year, and I'm particularly interested in the economic development of newly-industrialized and industrializing nations.

I'm a senior at Parkland, and I participate in a number of other activities and clubs within the school. In addition to serving as the vice-president of the Political Science Club, I serve as president of my school's Key Club, National Honor Society, Société Honoraire de Français, Odyssey of the Mind club, and I am a captain of the Scholastic Scrimmage and Debate teams. In my spare time, I watch the Food Network, search for fonts online, reread Fitzgerald's short stories, and pretend that I understand what modern art is all about.

In college, I hope to study business, economics, and art history.
