Chairpersons

My name is Andy (short for Aanand) Shah and I will be your chair for the Senate Committee discussing Armed Services.  This is my second year participating as a chair in Parkland Model Congress and my third year taking part in a model government.  I am an active member of FBLA in Lehigh Valley, being the Regional President-Elect and the current Secretary of our school's chapter.  I also am an officer and active member in Odyssey of the Mind as well as a member of the Parkland Debate Team.  I play tennis for my school's team in the spring and an avid college basketball fan... Go Duke!!!
Besides my 20 or so hours spent here at school a day, I spent the rest of my time with my eyes glued to the television, watching Lost, 24, The Office, Entourage, and basically every networked show existing on the 200 or so channels on my television (excluding WE and Lifetime).  
I really hope that everybody will have a blast at this year's Model Congress.  Model Congress is the perfect way to get out of school and to vent your personal frustrations and viewpoints of the current government.  I really hope to see some intense and heated debate, no matter what we do, we are sure to get more done in one day than Congress can do in one year.  Hence, I would like to pre-congratulate on you portrayals as US Senators - lets have fun with this!!!
