Greetings, members of the presidential cabinet, and welcome to Parkland Model Congress! I am Hamidhasan Ahmed, a junior who has created the crisis that you will encounter. I have been involved with the Political Science club two years, and have attended various model UN conferences in the past. I have also served as the Chief of Staff to the National Security Council in Parkland's previous Model Congress. I am also a member of various other clubs and activities, including Scholastic Scrimmage, Mock Trial, National Honor Sociey, and Science Olympiad. Video games play an active role in my free time, particularly strategetic games such as Starcraft (think of chess, only much more complicated and challenging). 

As members of the presidential cabinet, you will face challenging, unique problems that will push you and your country to the limit, and perhaps beyond. Every action you take will have an impact, so think wisely of the consquences of your actions, as you cannot correct them once they have been done. An understanding of the United States' foreign policy will help, but you will also have to actively think on your feet to find solutions. Don't expect the solutions to only involve military action - sometimes, diplomacy and economic sanctions will also be required. And lastly, always consider the feelings and thoughts of the American people in your actions. Whatever you do, you cannot let them down.
